Have a 2004 225 HPDI that damn near left me stranded this past weekend on St Claire, 20 miles or so from the ramp.

Seems that when I would hit 3000 or so RPM motor would "bog" down and act like it was running really rough. Did not die, but ran BADLY..no power at all. Have major problems even getting on plane.

But, when I was sitting there thinking, I primed the buld with the cover off. I heard gas go into the two silver "pumps" that are on the side near the fuel filter. Gas was in the fuel filter and no problem there. But was odd I heard the gas going into the pumps.

Here is the strange thing. When I would prime the engire with the bulb, I could get it on plane at 3k RPM and if I did not exceed that RPM it would run ok for a mile or so. But, if I slammed the hot foot to the floor it woudl start to bog right off the bat.

I seem to remember reading something here about some sort of diaphram that goes bad?? Any ideas??

Thnaks fellas!!!
