In an earlier e-mail I was asking what to do with the gas in a boat I was going to purchase. Engine is a Johnson 115 HP. The owner had it checked out by a mechanic that does it on the side. I talked to him and he told me that there was oil in gas and the oil injection system was still operational, therefore it is getting double oiled. The owner disconnected the gas line and let the engine die. The mechanic told me oil was injected into the carburators after the owner did this and he had to clean them before he could get it started. He didn't check the compression either.

I am wanting to have this engine looked at myself. I want to make sure oil injection is really connected and have compression checked. Can anyone recommend someone in the Louisville area to check the engine out??
