In response to fighting the opioid addiction, strains of marijuana have been proven to greatly minimize the effect of pain and seizures in some patients. They have learned how to breed the plant to lose some of its high thc content and work on strains for those patients. This reason alone should force the government to not classify it as a schedule 1. HOWEVER, on the other side of the rainbow there are also people growing it to have the highest THC content period. Just for people to get high out their mind. I myself do not believe this should be illegal to posses or grow. Recently the hallucinogenics are now coming in to light for some treatments of depression. But again there are always those that will abuse it. I will take marijuana and mushrooms on the streets over heroin, fentanyl, and oxycotin any day.
