During the Fall, I stop fishing for bass and target King Salmon on Lake Michigan on their Fall spawn run. I have always had good luck throwing minnow plug/jerkbait lures with loud rattles at them. My favorite are the Lucky Craft Pointer dds, Staysees and the Berkley Frenzy Diving Minnows. I feel that color is fairly important, but an annoyingly loud rattling sound triggers them to aggressively strike the lures. I was wondering what you guys thought the loudest medium/deep diving crankbait / jerkbait was..
I love the Frenzy Diving Minnows, but they get beat up and can break on the 2nd or 3rd fish due to too much stress. Staysees are great too, but hate losing a $15 lure on a non-tournament fish and their sharp teeth absolutely tear up the paint finish.
