I have a Bill Dance soft bag, with six 3600 boxes. I absolutely love the bag, but the boxes just seem to be the wrong size. They aren't sized right to fit ordinary tackle it seems. Other people, with different boxes, seem to be able to pack them full, but mine have the wrong shape/size.
BPS has the same bag, just larger, with the 3700 boxes on sale right now. I am wondering if that would be an improvement. I would replace the boxes after a while, for some better quality 3700s (these are the super cheap ones - 3750 maybe??) but they would have to stay 3700 size.
Would stepping up to them be a more practical size, that fits normal tackle, or should I look at something different completely, or should I live with the fact that it won't get any better.

I need them to be in a toploading bag, as I hate front loaders. Also, I do some fishing in jons, and other peoples boats, so I need a bag, and in the boats we are restoring, we haven't yet gotten to making the storage compartments, so they can be sized after I decide what I want.
