    Mississippi Lakes.

Well, since I am relatively new to MS and Fishing again, I thought I would start a topic on MS lakes.

Can anyone tell me anything about Bay Springs Lake in east MS?

It's the first Lake in the Waterway south of Pickwick. Most of the coves have flooded timber in the backs. It has two boat ramps that I know of, there may be more. It's a great lake in the Fall and early spring

We have a Fisheries biologist on here but he don't know chit about catching fish unless he got a battery and two metal poles.

I know I ain't the best fisherman in the world.....but I have my moments of greatness......they don't happen very often, but they happen.

That old saying about a blind squirrel finding a nut applies to me.

Oh...and I have never been on Bay Springs.

Bay Springs is a pretty good lake. Usually can beat the bank for a few here and there.

Enid is still on fire. The water level has certainly dropped though. Went out this morning and hung 2 over 20" surfaced then hung me in the brush tops. Also, caught 4 others 16-17". Caught mostly in 3-7 foot of water. Water temp was at 62-64 deg average at each place I went.

I see you're in N. MS. If you want to come to SW MS we have 3 big bass lakes. Natchez State Park, state record bass caught 18+lb. Calling Panther in Crystal Springs, lake record 12+lb. Lake Okhissa in Bude, US Forest Service lake and a Bill Dance signature lake. Okhissa has only been open for a year. Call me and we'll wet a line.
I caught this in Mary Crawford last year.....

I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it.
