Bass fishing is good. My brother and I won the "Hooked on Hope" bass tournament over the weekend with 25.40 pounds. It was a good day with overcast skies. Fish a Spro Dawg 100 in the early morning hours around grass beds at the mouth of the Flint. After the morning bite runs out, switch to a Big Bite Baits 6" Jerk Minnow in Silver or White and fish around the same areas as the top water. Fish this bait on 16 lb. Gamma Edge Fluorocarbon Line and a 5/0 EWG Gamakatsu Hook. We used a 6'9" Falcon Lowrider top water rod with the Spro Dawg. For the Jerk Minnow we use a 6'10" Falcon Cara T7 Grass Rod.
Thank you. Looking at possibly being that way on business in a few weeks. Don't know if I will get to take the boat or not yet.
