Sure hope the Bulldogs loose this next game.

If they do the Gamecocks will be in the SEC Playoff game....

You gotta admit, Carolina getting to the championship would be pretty amazing and the Bulldog Nation would be calling for Mark Richt's scalp. Nothing too personal about Georgia (Athens is 40 miles from my house), but this weekend I am a big Kentucky fan.

You should have seen him in Tuscaloosa buying all that 'Bama stuff for the kids. Not that he likes 'bama just that he hates the Dawgs.

    Re: (Schulze)

Guess he will - certainly helped last night . Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"???

John - Tech does not have to forfeit - it's as if the games never took place. A forfeit would mean that they would be given a loss. Gee whiz - thought you didn't care about college sports?

Sure - it sucks and it looks bad on GT but the truth is that GT is in a whole different league academically than almost any other institution. The guys who were inelligible due to grades at Tech probably would've made dean's list at UGA!!

i'll probabally catch hell for this one, but here goes--

as a UGA graduate, i would be willing to put their academics up against tech's any day. each institution does, however have certian areas of academics which they excell in over others, but as a whole, i would be willing to bet that UGA would give tech a serious run for its money.

as for the athletes, i don't care what institution they are from, there is grade juggling with all sports. i think it's a lot better and more strict now that it was in the 70-80's and early 90's. while i was at uga, the professors i had made it CLEAR that there were NO exceptions for athletes. although i was in alot of classes that had labs. i don't think that too many athletes take 3-4 lab classes per semester like other full time students, and mabye these professors weren't on the good side of the athelitic dept, who knows. anyway

looks like its GA vs AUBURN in the SEC championship. dang, that's gonna be a good game. GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGG

    Re: (ranger360)

R360 - Don't disagree with you at all - UGA is a great school!
However, I'm not sure they require ALL their students to take calculus as is the case at Tech.

Recruiting athletes at Tech is a whole different ballgame than most any other institution.

Back to Saturday - not sure Tech will win but at least the upset of Miami has made Bulldog Nation a lil' nervous!! Good Luck Friend!
