What is the odd of this happening??

I posted this a few minutes ago in the lounge.

Was fishing Lake Keowee this evening and missed a fish on a Carolina rigged worm.He bit off half the worm. About 15 minutes and 30 yards down the lake changed to a Rattle-Trap
and on the second cast caught a 12" bass and he spit out the half of the worm he bit off 15 minutes ago, wonder what the odds of that happening is.

about the same odds as this story:

fishin for crappie on a dock on clarks hill. a fish pulled the pole my cousin was supposed to be watchin in the water about lunch time . right before dark a lady hooked a fish, and i went over to help her get it out of the water. about a 2lb striper with another hook and line in its mouth. i pulled the line in, and my pole from lunch time was on the other end . the reel was full of red clay where the fish had been draggin it around all day. about 5 years later, another one of my cousins was sittin right beside his pole and WHAM it waen in befor he could move his hand to try to get it. about 2hrs later, he hooked a fish. about a 1-2lb striper with another hook in its mouth. he got his pole back too, and reel full of red clay .

i told him no one would believe me if i told this story, being that it happened twice.

both of my cousins are still alive and will admit the story is true.
