Winn time to start planning for the....Southern Rally II

I'll be there whenever it is. We talked at Santee V about combining the Tennessee and Southern rallies. I heard no comments to the negative and only positive ideas. We should be able to get more folks to attend if we combine them. I fished out of GoosePond colony this past summer with the wife and kids. We had a great time, but it was difficult to do any hardcore bassin' with the wife and kids. Looking forward to a bunch of pre-fishin.

I double checked the calendar and the 1st weekend in May is out for me. Youngest son's 1st Holy Communion and I won't miss that. Any other time looks like a go. I'll be eagerly checking back. thanks, Wally "FishnFed"

Jason, Some get there 5 days early others day before. We fish for bragging rights on Sat.

Winn, I would assume we go under the BBC Rally format now and to plaques and side pot or what were you thinking on this? Any format is good for me

Ususally Friday night is a meet, eat and drink (your choice of beverages). Last year I fried Turkeys and made boiled peanuts also hade potatoe salad and tossed salad to go with the turkey. Saturday is the T and a raffle after. We went out of Covenant Cove and used it as HQ for the rally. We all got a break on the rooms so most of us stayed over and left Sunday for those of us that had to drive.
Winn the 6th looks good for me. I'll just have to take a few days of call for one of the guys that has to cover for me. No biggie there.
Only other date I can do it is the 22nd of April. Fred

Jason, we will block out rooms from Monday May 1st thru Sat the 6th. You can come anytime you like. Most guys take their vacation and arrive early to pre-fish and enjoy the fun. The guys from out of state usually leave on Sunday.

I appreciate everyone helping out with the SR II this year. I had a great time last year, and enjoyed meeting everyone, and look forward to another trip to the Big G. I love that lake even though I never seem to do well there during tourneys

I had a lot of great help last year from Winn and Mike as well as Team Blue Parrot, and Don D.

Let's try and get more folks to show up this year, I know they will enjoy it. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Be sure to contact some BBC sponsors as well as any other sponsors who would like to be involved as soon as possible, so we have time to let CE know who to include on the banner.

Also, the TN folks had inquired about combining the TN rally with this one to get more participation.

Thanks again to those involved in the behind the scenes workings that go on for these things. For those who have never been involved with setting up and running something like this, you don't realize how much work is involved.

P.S.- Fred and others don't ask for money when they do all of the cooking to feed us, but donations are certainly appreciated and help offset the cost for them.

I will talk with Troy and see if he can come back over. He is also going to direct our Fishers of Men District this year. Maybe Troy can get Doug at waterfront to kick down some free gear. got a couple other tackle stores Ican hit up. maybe Kenneth or Jason can get us a new blazer or Statos to give away Sorry guys, doesnt hurt to ask. Also maybe Team Blue Parrot will participate in the T instead of sleeping late
