Any pointers on carpet trim to finish off the bow and rear?

My Triton did not have the trim that goes around the edge of the carpet on the bow and rear of the boat. What has anyone used to trim their carpet out, and how did you attach it?

I could contact Triton and buy the trim from a newer model, but I'm sure that is expensive!

The factory stuff is not too expensive and just uses adhesive to apply.

.Andrew, i bought some 1/2" to 3/4" black automotive trim at PepBoys. It was around 19.00 a roll and I bought two rolls and had some left over. It has an adhesive back on it. Attached is a post I created with some photos of it. If you go down to I believe it is pictures 11thru 14 you can see the trim.

First off, wow! Great job on your boat. Everything looks awesome.

I see your trim around the edge of the carpet. It looks like you have rivets or screws in it, and some end pieces. Did you have those end pieces from before? Where do you get those.

Thanks for the compliments. I have since sold that boat and now working on a 1999 TR21 with some of the same upgrades.

The caps on the ends were already on the boat when I got it. I suppose you could just round the edges. I did have to put some screws in it in places because in the sharp curves and turns the trim would not stay in place, especially in the sun when it heated up. Small, small diameter Phillips head screws.
