    Ignition Key

I have a 2011 Legend 191. I need a spare key. Any ideas where I can have one made? Seems the local key shop doesn't have the right type of blank key to cut. Thanks.

The key blank is determined by the motor brand. If you have a Mercury the key will have a number (Yamaha also) and you can buy the key that fits your ignition switch through a Mercury dealer. No need to have one cut.

What do you mean by "number"?

Is there a number on the key itself, or does each motor brand have a key number assigned to the outboards serial number?
