Jim...i have a 2003 20xl Prostar. Bought it new in Dec 2002. Has been a GREAT, trouble-free boat.

20' length, 93" beam, 225 max HP. Mine has a 225 Yammie ox66 on it, 8" manual jackplate and 26 Tempest prop.
They have a 50 gallon gastank, separated livewells (with lights inside), lights in all compartments.
Rides VERY well in rough water, but is not the fastest hull in the Stratos fleet. Mine runs GPS of 71-74 depending on weather conditions. LOTS of DRY storage, and it stays dry!
So far, been a great boat! Let me know if I can help with anything!

I have a 2002 21XL Prostar with a 225 FICHT. So far no complaints on the boat at all just trying to get it dialed in for a little more speed. Right now running a 26p Raker II and only hitting around 52-5300 RPMS trimmed at WOT and getting 65mph with half tank of fuel and full of gear. Hoping to find a little more speed in her. Going to prop down to a 25p to see what the numbers are there.

Hi guys, I have a 2002 20XL Prostar with a 2002 225 Evinrude Ficht Ram. I purchased the boat last year and I am trying to figure out the correct prop with it. I have a 26 raker but have had problems with blow out on it. I have also tried the renegade and had blow out issues with it even with the weed ring. I am trying a tempest but i think i need to raise the motor and try different vent plugs, right now i am 3.75 inch below pad, am i too low and could this cause blow out to happen more? I just need to find a prop to get me to plain out nice and do upper 60's on the top end...any advice would be helpful!! Thanks.

Mine is set around 2.5 below the pad but I haven't messed with it, this is my first boat and I'm still getting use to it.
    This is a 02 20xl prostar with a 225 ox66

Re: specifications of stratos 20xl pro star? (Duane Harper)

Thanks everyone, I think I have my motor too low and need to start raising it up. I spoke with stratos and this is what they had to say:

"The 20XL liked to run the engine high. In most cases the engine height
would be anywhere from 2.75" - 3.25" prop shaft to pad. The 26 Raker was
always the recommended prop for it, but there may be a better one one to
try such as the Tempest. There's nothing wrong with this hull design.
The 20XL is one of, if not the fastest boat pound for pound that Stratos
    produced.
