Replaced my trailer bunk boards today.......

When I bought my boat back in the beginning of the year, the guy I bought it from had gotten some bunk carpet from Stratos because one of the boards was messed up....I finally got around to buying the materials to re-do them:

3 - 10' treated 2x4's (Home Depot cut one of them in half for me)
    20 - galanized 3/8" x 1 1/2" lag screws
    pack of stainless steel staples
    staple gun

    total around $65.

It took me a hour and a half yesterday to put the new carpet on the new boards in my garage and it took me about 45 minutes at the lake to remove the old boards and put the new ones on.....They were a lot worse then I thought....You wouldnt think that a 3 year old trailer would be messed up already.....Very pleased with it!!

thx...Stratos gave it to the guy I bought the boat from....I really like how it turned out!! I used like 800 staples on it and also learned from somewhere on here that you dont want to butt up the carpet on the bottom, they say it helps let the wood dry faster!!

You might want to check the height of the outside left bunk at the rear. There should be fairly even pressure on the hull along each bunk. That particular mount may be too long.

I think what it was, was a knot in the wood.....we can see the knot from under the carpet....I made sure when picking out the 2x4's that they were fairly knot-free......thx!!!

    Swerve,
That looks exactly like my trailer. The same board on the left looks just like that. It must be a 200XL thing. Your new boards look great. I'll be doing mine soon.

I know on my first Stratos, I was able to get the marine carpet at Lowe's along with the boards.....
