Need to remove the Steering Wheel

I have an 04' 285 Pro XL I have removed the nut but can't get the steering wheel off to install a Trim Lever. Do I need a special tool to pull it off? Thanks for any help.

Screw the nut back on till its flush with the end of the shaft, have someone else pull on the back of the wheel on one side while you pull on the other, while tapping the end of the shaft ( protected by the nut you screwed back on ). Should pop right off. Or you can go buy a puller

You can also go to AutoZone. They have a loaner tool program. It didn't cost me a dime
