Trim Stops at 3/4 on Gauge.

I have a 1999 225 FICHT, When I trim up after getting on plane I speed up until I hit 3/4 trim and then it stops along with my speed. 63 GPS. I can trim full up and down at stop or out of the water. Is it a weak trim motor or possibly low on fluid? I think this is keeping me from getting to full top end speed. 21SS Extreme. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

When you trim the motor up all the way when trailered does it go past 3/4 ? If not , you may need to change the sensor position above the trim motor , or may have a gauge issue .

it may be your switch, as there is a limit on how much you can trim when the motor is running and in gear, as so you dont get it out of the water and ruin the head. where is your jack set?as that will also at times affect the reading to a small degree. I would have a certified tech check it out .
