Looking at buying a boat that has a 2006 225HO ETEC on it. Looking to see if they have had any major problems with this motor. I know this motor has had the lower unit fail once on it. Any help would be appreciated I have owned mercurys in the past.

mine has run stong and reliable since day one... no issues what so ever... think i have around 180-200 hrs on her now.. get it checked by dealer let them see if anything is reported on computer.. should give you piece of mind.. post serial/model here and someone can tell you if there was any warnty' work done to it

I have a 2006 HO and it has 350 hours on it and the only issue i have had, was the computer had to be reprogrammed..
