Recessed foot tray - where' the tube go?

I'm almost done installing a pro-control in my SX190. Sealed up the edges along the cut with epoxy resin. Ready to put the tray in and screw it down. But not sure what to do with the run off tube. I'm assuming its as simple as running it into the compartment below. But everything underneath looks very clean as in it doesn't look like there has ever been any water in this area where the trolling motor wires run. Is this where the tube is supposed to lay? The other thing that worries me is there are a couple of wooden braces on each side of the compartment. If they have resin on them it isn't much.

I called Skeeter to check with them and the answer is the most obvious. Finished installing the tray and ran the tube underneath. Just makes me nervous seeing wood supports under the deck. I can't really tell if the wood has resin on it or not.

I was worried about this to when I installed one in my Skeeter. So I went to Home Depot and bought the same tube that came with the tray only in a 20ft length and then ran it back to the bilge so all my water drains there.
