Livewell - Recirc pump

Well, my recirc pump on the port side livewell is not working. There is power at the switch as it lights up. Has anyone either replaced one, or had one replaced by a dealer. How was the install? How much did a dealer charge? I am handy, but this looks like a pain to replace only because there is now room to work in there. Also, this boat is new to me, and the back compartment is pretty dirty. Can I just wash it out with a hose without removing anything? Or should I wait til fall when I take the batteries out, and remove the charger? Just want to clean it up a little.

First what boat is it? Some boats are more accessiable than others. On my SX 190 i can get to them by taking the oil tank out but it's still croweded....i have changed mine out but i took out the oil and gas tank along with batteries...lot more work but made the replacements easy. The rule pumps have the cartridges that you change instead of the whole setup. You can do it, it easy, its just getting to them....in my opinion save some money and change them yourself.

Yea sorry, boat would help, ha ha. 2005 ZX250. I called the dealer to get a price, we will see what he says. In the meantime I am going to look into doing it myself a little more.
