    Amber Turbo Lube Hubs

I have a dual axle trailer 2006 model year that came with the clear/amber turbo lube hub caps. One hub had a defect and was changed a couple years back under warranty. Ranger provided a complete hub. But the cap is the black front fill type. According to Ranger that's the only one they sell now.
Maybe I'm slow but it is so much more difficult to check and maintain fluid level in the black thing. Plus, it don't look so cool having 3 of one type and one of another.

Does anyone have a source for the amber caps?

You might check with our parts department (Clint) he has a lot of trailer parts in stock down there. 270-395-4030

This is that cap I'm looking for.
It's not available through Ranger or Tie Down Engineering anymore.

Does anyone have one laying around?

Rodney, I spoke with Carol at your place and although she was real helpful, she couldn't locate one.

There is a place called Eastern Marine (Google it), part # is 48399a, I believe they are 33.00 / pair, it's been a couple of months since I found them there, I hope this helps. Good Luck

Trailer Parts Superstore has them for $8.99 each: http://www.easternmarine.com/Dust-Caps-Oil-Caps/

Re: Amber Turbo Lube Hubs (RangerDrew)

In my opinion stay away from the amber hubs! I had 3 go bad already and am replacing the 4th this weeknd so I don't have to worry about them! Ranger has kind of admited those hubs were junk and I have had zero problems with the black ones that you mentioned. See this thread of what happens when they go bad.

Re: Amber Turbo Lube Hubs (GClark519)

I had a hub go bad in 09 and Ranger changed it no problem. GClark, contrary to the guy in the earlier thread in my experience Ranger has given me excellent service. But I guess having a hub problem in the first place is not good.

Anyway, I ordered an amber cap but with the rubber plug, not the screw plug. I guess I just like the convenience of just looking and seeing some lube in there.
I appreciate the help guys. Now if only spring would come.
