    Ranger question NMEA 2000

I have a 2011 Z518. It has 2 HDS5's installed on the boat. It also has the NMEA 2000 net work on the boat which was installed from the factory. My question is: Does Ranger enable the power to the NMEA 2000 to be turned off when the boat is not in use? Is there a switch to turn the NMEA on and off? I added a sonic hub to my boat and just bought a LWX-1 antenna. I'm trying to find out where to connect the antenna to a power source. There is no swictch for the antenna to turn it on and off. I'm not wanting my battery to be drained. Any help would be appreciated. I do not have a master power switch on my dash.

You should have a master switch or breaker in the bilge area

i'll have to check. Will that control all the power to the dash or just the nmea 2000?

Exactly, the breaker on the starboard side of your bilge compartment will kill all 12 volt power except to the engine.

My main power switch is located on the starboard side just a few inches from the Fuel/Water filter.

I believe it will kill all power except to the engine and your auto bilge pump. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, as I have left my boat in the water while on trips to Ontario for a week during some pretty nasty weather and never noticed excessive water in the boat the next morning. Perhaps, I've just been lucky as I always turn off the main power when charging at night. Am I right or have I been just lucky?

It should. How many through hulls are coming out the top cap rear of the boat?. There will be three if you have a auto bilge pump.........................RR
