Has anyone tried a 26 or 27 Trophy on a 721/250 Merc? If so did you have to use a blow-out ring? I feel for sure you would have to plug the PVS holes solid. I know when you have alot of torque and a heavy load and an over and thru prop on take off it will blow all the water from around the prop and you just spin out and set right back down in the water. Hate to make a trip to the lake high as gas is not knowing....Thanks
I would put the ring on and take a variety of PVS plugs with you, that way you can do anything you want while at the lake. I'd even take the prop wrench with you in case you decide to pull the ring off and try it.

I run the trophy plus 27p with all the pvs ports plugged. Very little blow out running at 2.5 inches below pad. Great holeshot, handling, top end, lift, and load carrying ability compared to my previous Tempest. Only down fall is loading boat on the trailer. Extra blade will not allow motor to turn up much rpm. Takes getting used to.
