Don't feel bad for asking questions. ask away. we will answer anything we know the answer to. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. And welcome to the Nitro family and the BBC

I have a 06 482 and can also help out. I could be allot more help if it wasn't in storage still.

If you still want to look for a manual the part # is 09928 and looks like a one size fits all manual.

Congrats on your new ride and welcome to BBC

I doubt the manual will be helpful in this area.

I got the same one with my Z9 as I did with my 482 that I had. Nothing much in them. What do you need to know about the wells? I'll see if I can remember or someone else may know. Ask away. That's what we are here for.

I know this thread is a year old but OP never really asked any questions. I have a few myself figured this is the best place. I just purchased a 06 482 with a 90hp. This is my first bass boat, after a lifetime of jon boats, canoes, kayaks and river boats. My questions are

    1. How many batteries should I have and where should they be located?
    2. What about the trim, how should I set it?
    3. Any ideas on a nice fitted cover?
    4. The wife wasn't too POed about purchase all she said was she'll need some shade when I take her out fishing (once or twice a year). Any ideas on shading the little lady?
    5. What should I get as far as a top speed?
    6. I'll also have to drag the kids on a tube or something, any ideas on that?
    7. Any other dos or don'ts about this boat?

    Thanks

Welcome to the Nitro family and the BBC family first off. Second, I would assume you have a 12 volt trolling motor. On the 482, you will have a starting battery in the very back rigging compartment. You trolling motor battery will be in the center compartment up on the front deck. Raise your lid on the front compartment and inside the box there will be a plastic removable panel. Remove that panel and that is where you will find your trolling motor battery. You should also have a cord in there to plug up to charge your trolling motor battery.

    1. Most likely 2, could be 3. depends on what Trolling motor you have.
    2. Trim full down for best holeshot, trim up after coming onto a plane. You will figure it out, for best top end speed trim all the way up
    3. Bass Pro sells cheaper boat covers, u can buy 2 or three for the price of a good one.
    4. Sunscreen and a sombrero.
    6. Attach a tube to the transom ties.
    7/ Have fun.

Thanks for the reply, I figure I'll have to figure most of it out on the water.

    Welcome aboard !!
Seat time is what you need.
Trim her all the way down to take off and hammer down full throttle.
Once your up you can back off the throttle and start to trim up untill you find the sweet spot. your steering will get nice and loose and you will know when its there.
eveybody has pretty much answered your ? not sure what top end would be with a 90. ask away if you got any more.

Oh yea, we will need to see some pics of the new ride

I had a 90 on mine when I bought it and was getting about 43 mph/gps I upgraded to the 150 pro xs and now I get 66 mph/gps just to let you know the difference if you ever want to upgrade the motor. With the 90 I put a fin on the motor as you will have a hard time getting on plane with 2 people and a tank of gas. What prop do you have on it? I had a 21p lazer and like I said it was a dog getting out of the hole.

yes they did take the 90 in on trade but don't expect to get a lot for it. When I upgrade in 2009 i went with the 150 EFI and it cost me almost $7000. Then I went to the pro xs in 2012 and it was another $4000. then you will also want to put in a hotfoot and blinker trim.
