Just curious, what are the hull differences in these two boats and how much faster is the 2100 ? Are there handling differences? There are things I like about both boats. Both appear to be just shy of 21 feet.

The 209 is 20ft9inches and the 2100 i seen listed as 20ft6inches, my 209 is only rated for a 235 i think, it's under 250hp. Cant compare it to the 2100 but mine is ill handling but i just put on a new jackplate trying to get it better, old one would not go high enough. I plan on this being he last boat i buy so that tells you i like it.![]()
209 is 235 rated. i think mine handles great. i have a 2.5 on back. maybe a 3l could make them worse. my 209 will also be the last boat i buy.
I think the 209 is one of the best hulls Gambler ever produced. The 2100 with the "notches" allowed for the trim tabs, but some say it hurt the unassisted hole shot too. Not sure if that is right or not. However, the 209 was one of the most stable hulls I have ever been in. That said, I have not been in the new Sterling!!
Had the 225 promax with the bob's cone but the stock lower on the 3.0L 250 xb has helped it a little.
the 209 is a great boat...but i would go with the 2100 everytime...250 hp rating...which makes it about 5 to 8 mph faster...much better livewell system...
better steering set up...better looking console area...both are great boats, and i have fished out of both...the 2100 is very hard to top....
LD
2100 has a little bit wider lower pad, and flatter center of gravity while fishing...is going to be a little slower getting out of hole, MORE stable at higher speeds, and WAY more stable while fishing...
I had a 1999 209, and it took waves EXCELLENT, towed heavy, came out of hole EXCELLENT, but doesnt fish as stable or handle as stable as my 2003 1900 outlaw...
