    cockpit size

    hey guys still entertaining the thought of a 2100 im 6'8 and about 290 was wondering , can i drive this thing? actually looking at one on boatrader any info would be nice

    Rod.....you can definitely drive it; a Gambler's not hard to drive at all. I had a '99 Triton TR21 before my 2100 Gambler and that was one tough boat to drive.

    I can drive the Gambler at 83+ with no problem whatsoever.

    You will find the cockpit a bit "snug" with your size but test it out and see what you think. The bars that run around the windshields aren't just there for decoration, you can use them to pull your self up.

    At your size i would say you can drive what ever you want!! I have a 209 and I'm around 6ft-5 and 270lb, and have found it to be very comfy once i got use to pulling my left leg out from under the console and brace it on the step-up.

    thx guys , Al i was really worried about being to tall honestly to fit under the cockpit , i currently have a 99 tr21 and its a chine walker like you said they are a bit hard to drive.

    You'll have to forgive Al sometimes, you do know he's over 100 years old, and when he hits 83 in the gambler his eyes are closed. He calls it his power naps, old folks nap a lot you know.

    i once fished with a guy that was 6'11...and he could get under the console...you might have to move the foot throttle back a little...but no problem....

    have you looked at a 2200 or a 2000 they have alot more room between you and the dash and the wheel than my 2100 does
