    Fury props

Have been running the new Fury for about 2 wks now...

Holeshot is awesome, midrange & top end is as good as my Tempest and about 1-2 mph faster than my Trophy.

The thing I like the best about the Fury is the handling...WOW! This prop will not let go, no matter how hard I tried to get it to blow out, it held fast.

Remember when B.A.S.S. had the bass boat races? I wish I could have had this prop on a Gambler and competed against those guys!

    Re: Fury props (1FastGambler)

Im running a stock 3 blade Tempest Plus 25P now. Would I want to stay with the 25P or could I maybe get away with a 26P Fury? Just curious what you guys think. I dont wanna buy the wrong size prop and deal with the swapping out headache.

    Top speed was 82.7
Currently running comfortably at 5800 RPM's at 78MPH, but could use a faster holeshot (5-6 secs. now)

    - Merc 225 EFI 3.0L w/ Brucato SVS
    - 10" Detweiler Hydraulic ( 2" below pad )
    - NO nose cone
    - Brians Cav. Foil Plate
    - NO trim tabs.

    Re: Fury props (1FastGambler)

    25 Fury – 5950 rpm 72 - 74.49 mph – best speed @ just over 3 on JP gauge
    25 Tempest 6000 rpm 70.5 – 72 mph – best speed @ 4.5 on JP gauge
    25 Trophy 5850 rpm 70 - 71 mph – best speed @ 3.5 on JP gauge
This was this past weekend at Navajo Lake which is currently at 6064 ft above sea level

Yes it will plane without trim tabs, but it's a rocket with them.

    Re: Fury props (cowtrimmer)

I know what you mean I am afraid that a 26 pitch wouldn't be enough for me.. I can turn a 28 Trophy almost 6 grand with my new 250 Pro XS so I am afraid that a 26 Fury would put me hard on the limiter...
I wish there were some way to try one without buying one..

    Re: Fury props (ldbass55)

I heard they actually run 1 pitch below normal...example...a 24P Fury is equal to a 25P Tempest etc... Is this true?

    Re: Fury props (AZ Intimidator)

Just like all props. They are going to run different from boat brand to boat brand!!!...Some props are tighter then others

    Re: Fury props (1outlaw)

i was told at the classic that the fury because of the thinner blades, will turn 1 to 2 hundred more rpm than most other standard props in the same pitch...

    Re: Fury props (AZ Intimidator)

Look at the post 1FastGambler put up a few post up there was only 50 RPMS different between a 25 Tempest and a 25 Fury the Fury being 50 RPMS less..
They look to run close to the same rpms as other merc props in the same pitch..

    Re: Fury props (ldbass55)

Your right so if you were to raise the Fury to the Tempest height you would probably be a 100 rpms more than the Tempest..
The Trophy and the Fury are run fairly close to the same height and the Fury still turned 100 more rpms..
So it sounds like it will turn more rpms than a same pitch Merc prop..
I need a 29 Fury maybe a 30 from those #s.. I don't know if I will see one in my life time..

    Re: Fury props (carolina killer)

    LD & Terry,
All jackplate settings I shared in my personal test results were the fastest for each prop on that day.

The fury started to to slip sooner (lower height) than the tempest.

take it for what it's worth... (prop test results posted to the web by some guy in the badlands of New Mexico on a lake that is over 6000 ft above sea level with a tournament load)

I would also like to share with BBC that this prop pushes the boat onto the trailer better than any prop I have ever ran... the first time I loaded the boat I thought I was going to park it in the back of the truck!

Small diameter 3 blades will do that...
