I don't know what the X is for ameritrail brakes but from what I've heard the people at ameritrail are really nice to work with.

I had to buy one years ago, and it seems to me, that it was the same as a Chevy Cavalier. I don't remember for sure, but I think it would be a good place to start looking.

I went through this last year on my 94. It is a Chevy Cav....but I had mine sent from AmerTrail with the hubs and all already built up. Good bunch down there.

I had to replace the entire coupler a few years ago and they had the part to me in no time.

Re: 94 amera trail brake calipers?? (Intimidator1)

Hey guys, A little info for you! Ameri-trail was a pleasure to talk to, very helpfull. A loaded caliper cost $76.00 plus shipping from them, thats a caliper with a set of pads for one side. I went to NAPA(thanks guys) and they cross referanced the caliper to a 1985-1988 chevy cavalier part#242-2043(right side) and it cost me $15.09 and they needed my old one for a core credit($22.00)A new set of pads for both sides was $24.39 for a total of $42.24 what a bargain, leaves a little coin for . Thanks again

He had the NAPA set that I have and a set of SeaSence marine pads. He said if they wont fit, bring them back and swap them for the marine set. Good point, The caliped I had to replace was missing the pads-so i didnt have any to compare without removeing the other side. We just got 7" snow Friday so I will check in a few days to see if they will fit.
