Hello i am new to this board but i can tell allready that is is going to be a great resource.Recently when i posted a question about xd25 oil a member replied and also made me aware of a possibly problem that i was not aware of. He said that on alot of these engines the #2 cylinder runs hot and that it is common to rejet the #2 carb to make it run richer thus making it run cooler. He also said it was not all engines. My engine is a 1993 johnson 200hp venom model #vj200sletc serial #g03230611. Can you tell me if my engine has this problem and if so what jet should i install. Also i live and fish in New England mostly around sea level. Thanks in advance. Sam

. Yep what we do is two things to help them, the first thing is to have you change out the drain plugs to the new style and the second is to swap out your HS orifice on the #2 carb. You'll have to pull the HS orifice on any of the carbs to get the size designation and then get one two sizes up. Here is a start for the carb drain plugs you'll need 6 344267 and 6 305739 O rings. The new style drain plug prevents the HS orifice from backing out of the carb bowl causing a lean out condition. You'll need to remove your carbs airbox cover and then remove the carb bowl drain plug. Use a narrow screwdriver and carefully remove the orifice, the number is marked on the side. On your motor looking from the front the #2 carb is the top left carb. The orifice will be marked with a number and a letter. Looking at the parts chart for your model looks like you have a 56D orifice. If so you'll want to order a 58D 328543. These parts can be ordered from any BRP dealer. Have fun.
