A few weeks ago I posted about my buddy's XP175 on his Stratos that we could not get
started. Come to find out, it was a week starter and was not spinning the motor fast
enough to generate enough spark to make it fire. Remember I said when we took a
spark plug or two out it would start right up. Then when we put the plugs back in it would
not start. I guess with one of the plugs out we would relieve enough of the compression load that it could spin it fast enough to make it fire. Then when we put the plug back in..
.....nothin'. We put a new starter and a new battery on it and it started first crank every
time all day Friday. It was a crazy mystery for a while but it looks like we finally got it
figured out.
