I fish on the University of Tennessee's bass fishing team and we fished Guntersville this Saturday. The Stren pro we got paired up with ran a Bass Cat Sabre. Let me tell you, I now have more reasons than ever to own a Champion. Even though mine is OLD...I like it a ton more than a Bass Cat. Sure wish I could land a sponsorship to get me into a new one. We ended up coming in 3rd with 14-03 and move onto the regional on Lake Monroe in Florida. If any of you have fished it let me know.

Nice job... my little brother fishes the FLW college fishing on the West Coast. What a great program it has become. Keep dedicated to school and you won't need that sponsorship to get your new champ.

Nice job guys. I missed my calling I guess. I played college football - got beat up on a daily basis, and now live with sore ankles and a bad neck. I would have loved to be part of a collegiate bass fishing team. I don't know if I would have been any good - I love to fish, but catchin' em, well that's a different ball game. Keep it up - who knows Skeet, KVD, and all those other guys started somewhere. And you are right, Champions are one fine rig - regardless of the age !!! My 1993 190 will attest to that.
