Middle tank vs. rear tank for an overloaded boat...

Got a tournament tommorow, and unfortunately, the only prop I have that's good to go is a 24p Raker. I have a 1990 184SC with a 150 hp GT-150, and last weekend, I had trouble getting on plane with a full livewell, 3 people and faull rear gas tank. Had to put someone on the front to get on plane.

I've since put my hydrofoil back on, and was wondering, if i fill the middle gas tank rather than the rear, will that help me get up on plane if the rear tank is empty.

According to the brochure, the aux tank is only 18 gals. Is that sufficient for your needs? If so, I would think your idea might work...
