where does the overflow water go?

At my last stop sat.tourny I ran my livewell pump for a solid 30 min.Normally I put it on auto and just forget it,but i had it loaded with fish(for a change)and figured what could it hurt.5 min.till weighin time, took off,and like to have not planed out.It seems the livewell overflowed in bottom of the boat.Seen this happen before on just about every boat ive owned,no problem, just clean out the overflow and keep trucking. So, got home and tryed to figure out where overflow goes on this boat, and I just dont see anythig other than the bilge outlet in the back.Does it run out it or just magically evaporate when it fills up??It never did this before.Figure
i have some of those 4 inch shad the bass where eating stopping it up.Can anyone throw me a bone here? 2000-193-anniver model hammer on the back
    thanks,ronnie

One of the holes on the pad is the livewell overflow. If water is ending up in the bottom of your boat, there could be a couple of problems. One is that there could be a leak in the hose or livewell fitting above the outside water line and the other could be that your overflow is clogged or restricted and the livewell actually ran over.

I would check for the latter first by hitting it with a garden hose. That may also make a leak show up if you can scope out the plumbing as it comes out of the livewell.

Note that if there is a leak in the overflow below the outside water line, that you'll get water in the bilge all the time. That's why I would suspect the first few inches after leaving the livewell.

    Good luck!

At least untill now,it doesnt get water in the boat on the average day.I think it may be from fishing in dying grass all day.Does the water run out one of white tubes at the top of the livewell? there is one of these on each side.never noticed any of my other brands of boats set up like this.most have a drain at top of well, and a hose leading to the outside at top of boat.Just simple, but I guess that draining it like this serves a purpose of some kind.may be why it doesnt lose much water on a run across the lake like most others Ive had did. Thanks, ronnie

ronnie, do you have Hydro-air, as well as Aerator? Hydro-Air will aerate water in wells without bringing in new water and sending out "old". I use it when in murky areas, or when it is very hot and water temps are high. Fill wells with aerator and then turn off and turn Hydro on to "auto".

Lea, yes,it does have hydro air.I usually run it all the time i have fish in well.i just like to make sure my and partners fish stay alive.Deducts can cost, plus it makes me sick to see a fish die needlessly.I have never had a fish die in my champ(except when hooked too deep).and it has never done this before.I must have something patially stopped up. Thanks to u all, ronnie
