I have a water seperator filter on my 97' Champion 186, but was wanting to know, does my motor have a fuel filter located on it, or is the water seperator filter the only one I have? Don't know much about the Intruder motor. Help would be appreciated.
Yep, when you remove the 4 bungees to lift away the black air silencer in front of the carbs. follow the fuel hose to a threaded plastic fitting. behind this is a cone shaped filter that is cleanable or replaced. The real filter problems are in the pickup tube in the fuel tank. Hope thi helps, David 703-517-2626.
Thanks David. You don't know by chance what part number that is? If not, no worries, I'll call an Evinrude dealer and find out.
