I just wanted to say thanks to gearcaseman for the helpful advice on fixing my leaking gearcase. I replaced the o-ring on the propshaft bearing carrier and that has fixed the leak ,I also replaced the propshaft seals since fishing line had gotten behind the prop and chewed a little of the outer seal up even though it was not leaking it was good to get them changed. Also I got my prop rehubed at precision propeller here in Indy , for 55 bucks which I tought was a good deal . The repairman that did the work said the hub had spun and he could not tell it untill he removed the old hub, so that is probably why my engine was reving up trying to get the boat up in the heavy wind we had in texas. Iam back to fishing, Chuck.
