Any suggestions on how to remove the bench seats.
Any suggestions on how to remove the bench seats.
Lift up the seats so the under seat storage is exposed and then feel around the bottom of the seat back, there will be little slits where the screws are. If i remember correctly the screws have a box head on them not a phillips or flat head. Also tbere are a couple of screws in the back of the seat you can get to if you lift up the livewell lid. Hope 5hat helps.
Hope this helps. These are the instructions and pictures that were sent to me from Bass Cat when I removed and installed new seats in my 1998 Pantera II.
"The screws are located in the arms of the wrap around pieces that go in to the walls of the boat. There are screws in the hinges of the seat bottoms. There are rivets in the top area of the backs of the seat bench that needs to be drilled out and re-riveted. There are also screws going into the bottom area of the seat backs. There are 2 centered in the backs of each seat toward the bottom (about where the seat back meets the seat bottom). We made small slits about 1" long where we inserted screws through the foam into the seats, mounting them into the rear deck behind the seats. When you take your old seats out, your screws for your new seats will go in the same places. I have attached a couple pictures of where your screws are at."
The screws are not regular screws.....they are square. Pretty easy process, just take your time. I removed my old seats and installed my new seats in about 3 1/2 hours. You'll need a rivet gun to install the new seats.
