A big thanks to Robbie Patterson

Robbie, I just wanted to thank you for doing such a great job on my sportmaster gearcase. It arrived yesterday and it looks great. Anyone who is looking to get the Allison modifications done to a sportmaster case..........Robbie is the man!!! This makes several he has done for me and his workmanship is second to none.

Chad, I'll try to take some.................sort of hate to unbox this thing again but for you I will..............LOL..............How's that new motor running? You just had to do it and let me behind with my little old 225X.

Yep, I would've always been second guessing myself if I didn't. I'm loving it. I got a service manual so I could check things out from time to time for piece of mind. Also, my buddy just got a leak down tester so I could keep up with ring life. With the help of Jay Smith, I got all the little linkage adjustments set properly and idle timing bumped up a little and this motor idles like a kitten which is completely opposite from what we've been hearing over the years. My modded promax pulled a good bit harder than a 225x motor and this 260 just blows my promax away. Acceleration is unbelievable. Topend, I don't know yet cause of a cracked skeg but will soon. Should be around 102ish loaded to fish with no water in livewell. Same load with my promax was 93ish.

Re: A big thanks to Robbie Patterson (blair)

I hope there will not be a repaired housing but a new or different one instead. A cracked/welded skeg is not the thing to do on a hi-perf set-up.

Catfish, Glad you're pleased with Robbies work, he takes a lot of pride in perfection.

Lee, it's a 200 case with Tooters cone and Allison modded skeg. I'm putting my heavy duty intrenals in it.
