I am shocked. I had no idea or thought it to be true.

Looks like Whitney Houston is cool again now that she's just made the transition from mainstream to the underground.![]()
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I wonder how many here cried over Elvis but still bash Whitney ..... Each generation has their connections to their past.

I was 5 years old when Elvis died. I was probably crying about a lot at 5, but Elvis was not one of them. Had he died when I was older I am sure I would have felt the same way though. I believe you reap what you sow in life. What you put in you get out. Nobody was big enough in her life to intervene. Its a shame, but she made the choices.

No (good) comparison IMO...
If Whitney died in the late 70's with the following she had at her peak...yes, there would have been far more tears...and if Elvis had died last month with the following he had at his peak, there would have been far fewer...
...different eras as you say...but I don't like the obvious difference between the two (and I don't mean sex) that THAT sort of comparison alludes to...

Amy Winehouse or Whitney Houston, it doesn't matter.......I am an equal opportunity discriminator to stupidity.
