Fish Story (w/pic) don't leave your dykes at home

So was watching the FLW weigh-in online yesterday and decided to hit the water, got on the water at 5pm, this nice one hit about 630 (almost time to come home). Caught her on a shaky head and she swallowed it, it was in her middle gullet, I had left my dykes on the table (not good) I tried and tried to get the hook out, but did not want to hurt her. I tried to CRIMP the barb, but my freaking pliers have a weird tip and could not crimp the barb. I decided to get her in the livewell, my house was a 2 minute boat ride. Grabbed the dykes and by this time the jig head was almost gone in her gullet (I did remove the worm). So I had my wife take this cell pic and I let the fish go, she swam somewhat startled at first, but then really kicked it towards deep water, I hope she will be okay.

    So the questions are:

How big do you think the fish is?

    Will the fish survive?

Also, there was NO BLOOD at all...

(I know I am holding the fish away from my body, I was rushing to get her back in the lake)

NEVER LEAVE YOUR DYKES AT HOME

That's a nice fish, could not guess weight so I'll save the embarassment.

Up here (edit) means something different? I've fished with a few but they are no good at getting a stuck hook out. No matter how good their fingers are they still need pliers?

    Nice fish!

Jig in the gut, I'd venture to say she'll die soon. If that would have happened with me...I'd be gettin' the grease hot and invite some folks over to enjoy.
