Hi All
Well after a long wait my E-Tec 115 hp finally arrived, on its stand it looks magic, looking from the side it seems a bit bare so was wondering can the following stars n Stripes decals p/n 215654 and 215655 be cut and fitted above and below the existing Evinrude decal. Also are these BRP part numbers.
You must have been a very good boy to get one of those amazing motors.
Here is a part of an email sent to me by a dealer here in New South Wales, Australia who just attended a national dealer get together in Surfers Paradise in Queensland, Australia. I think you will be impressed.
Club E-TEC was very impressive with about 10 boats on the water and every boat I went in was set-up and running perfectly. The interesting boat was a 650 Haines Hunter with a 115HP E-TEC and 115HP 4-Stroke Yamaha on it (like in the DVD). Both engines ran out to 6000 RPM when they were both going but just like in the DVD the 4-Stroke did not even look like getting the boat on the plane and with 5 big guys in the boat the V4 E-TEC planned the boat and did about 30 MPH. It did take a little to get on the plane and the engine hovered around the 4300RPM mark until the exhaust valve kicked in and changed the exhaust tuning and then the boat got on the plane and went quite well. The most interesting thing was at idle the 4-Stroke set-up up an annoying vibration with the rod rack and outrigger bases on the boat while with only the E-TEC running at idle there was no vibration- at all and I thought that the E-TEC was smoother and quieter which did surprise me. Other thing was the way both engines started-the E-TEC start instantly while the Yamaha took a couple of revolutions.
