    pulstar spark plugs

I have a 2004 gmc envoy and I have seen these plugs saying, they increase hp, decrease strain on motor while towing, increase gas mileage while towing and all around driving. can someone tell me if they have used these plugs or should i just run the E3 plugs...

While I'm not familiar with these, I have heard that if it sounds too good to be true that it probably is...

    No ... I would not.
Don't buy into the BS claims of increased HP & fuel efficiency, no spark plug will produce better results than stock A/C Delco Iridium plugs for your Envoy.
They may claim it will but I have never seen undisputed proof... matter of fact, the E3's aren't any better than any name brand iridium plug .. just better for the people who SELL them.

Huge ignition spark gains have been made since the day's when our vehicles used the old school points/plugs & condenser with 12 volts output coils vs. the high energy stuff of today .... they make it seem that you'll be installing lightening bolts ... but it's only hype.

ok, so what is the difference between platinum and iridium? the pulstar plugs claim they have a 1,000,000 watt output due to a capacitor that stores unused ignition energy. it is a new plug, new technology and i dont think i am putting that in my truck. but as for a diamond fire/multi point plug, it would burn more of the injected fuel and better combustion...i would think...somebody correct me if that is incorrect...

I'll put it this way, you won't see ANY added real world driving benefits in HP or burned fuel savings over & above what a factory iridium spark plug will do .. notta, zilch ... nothing but extra cost ... & the standard iridium plug design is well known for running 100,000 miles without failure & has easily enough spark to do the job as intended.

About $5.00 and 70,000 miles of use.

Platinum and Iridium plugs perform at a lower level than copper spark plugs, because they are less conductive and they tend to overheat. However, the overall longevity of these two types of metal is better than copper plugs. In reality, copper has the best performance of all three and the worst longevity. Platinum has good longevity and the worst performance. Iridium has good longevity and a performance that is decent, which is why iridium plugs tend to be more expensive than any other type. Still, the difference between these plugs in terms of overall quality is minimal, as there is a trade off for each.

The spark plug does NOT burn any more or less of the fuel. Once the fuel is ignited, the flamefront travels across the combustion chamber until the fuel is spent (mostly). However, a weaker spark will definitely cause the ignition of the fuel to be a tad laggy (milliseconds), which most likely won't be noticeable, unless you're putting the engine under some pretty heavy loads.

    Also...what was stated above.

Gimmick! As a matter of fact NEVER use G3 plugs on a GM...it'll cause misfires
