You still have to run, pass, kick and tackle right? This style of play thing is bogus. It comes down to coaching, talent and executing. If youre good youre good if youre not youre not. Is MIZZOU going to come in and beat up on Bama, UGA, Auburn, etc......no. But are they going to be doormats like Kentucky, Ole Miss and as of late TENN? No. The will be a middle of the pack team with occassional years near the top.</td></tr></table>

What im gettin at is the style of play you are used to in the big whatever they call themselves now, isn't going to work here unless you are playin arkansas....they are the only team in the sec that plays that way week in and week out...uga has times when they play that way...but for the most part is grinding it out hardnose style of play with nfl type defenses and schemes that will limit everything you try on offense...mizzou wont be a doormat, but its gonna be alot tougher than you think..

I agree but each game is different. If a team is down by 14 with 6 min left in the 4th quarter and they are a running team they are going to have to throw the ball more. The flow of the game dictates how your team is going to play. Sure teams have an identy (smashmouth running, air it out, run and gun, etc) but again it comes down to executing. If you aren't executing because your team isn't performing as they should or if they aren't executing because the opposing team is executing their plan to where you can not execute your own plan, then that makes for changes/adjustments to be made. (thats a lot of executing...lol) I have no doubts that it is going to be an uphill battle for MIZZOU and they are never going to be a program like LSU or BAMA but the jokers than think they are going to be these Big 12 wimps that come in and get stomped have another thing coming.

Looking forward to being part of the SEC and making some road trips to the south Should be a fun year come fall. For you SEC homers what is the best place for a road trip? Knoxville is not too far and neither is Oxford. Is Gainesville worth the haul to get down there and party? Are fans usually friendly towards opposing fans or does that depend on the team? I am always a competitive guy but chum it up with opposing teams fan....unless it is a KU fan....in which case I would just assume light them on fire and pi$$ on the ashes.

    Re: College Football Question (mowigglewart)

I have drank in the bars pre game with several opposing fans in Knoxville. The fans have told me UT is one of the friendliest places to go play in. Neyland Stadium is nice and is sitting right on the river, some drive their boats to the game. I have been told several times Bama is one of the worst but I'm not talking from first hand experience at the stadium, and I grew up in the Alabaster, Pelham, Indian Springs area in Alabama and they are some die hard fans bigtime.

Re: College Football Question (smokey bear)

If you plan on making some of the road trips, be prepared for some crazy environments. There a couple of stadiums like Bryant/Denny, Neyland, and Tiger Stadium where there are so many people you haven't seen or heard the noises you will hear. The Swamp can get loud but the way some of these places are built now its like a big ol speaker that holds the sound in ...granted there are some throughout the country that are the same but these places are loud....and crazy

    Re: College Football Question (mrlawler1)

The first time I took my wife to Neyland she was shocked. She's from WV and had never seen a stadium hold 100,000+, let alone that many people screaming and cheering. She loved the whole experience and left a UT fan.

Im not at all a ut fan but it is cool when places like neyland has a song where all 100k + folks sing at once........im kinda partial to Rammer Jammer myself....but when you get that many people singing in unison it is very cool....
