A friend of mine has a 2005 Etec 225hp. Is there any fuel additive recommended for these engines by BRP?
Thanks,
Ronnie

2+2 fuel conditioner available at your local dealer!!
I started using Sea-Foam to each fill-up. After my first tank,I was turning more revs, and it made my engine idle very smooth. Not sure what others think about it,but you may want to check it out. It is available at any auto parts store. I bought mine at O'Rileys.
If you hear banjos upstream, turn and paddle in the opposite direction.
I know it's heresy to advicate anything but BRP products...but..I've used seafoam for a long time without a single problem. No carbon, plug fouling, or carb cleaning!
I also use XD100 though..!
I don't know if you have to deal with E10, but if you do, my suggestion is to use Startron as your additive.

Question for you guys about Sea Foam. What mix ration do you guys recommend?
The guys moderating this board will recommend BRP products and follow directions on the label.
The mix ratios are on the can. I can't remember what it is. I add a can to every tank.
