Mercury thrust washer use with a VMax 27p T1 and front spacer 'tab'?

    I just bought a used Vmax 27p T1. I'm replacing a Merc Tempest 25M.

Can I use the thrust washer from the Merc and just buy a front "tab" spacer?

Will any of these work? http://www.ptpropeller.com/content-c...40/yamaha.html

If you have a 25M, Thats a Yamaha prop and the T1 will use the same thrust washer and hub parts.... The T1 will not use any Merc prop parts.

Lets see if we're on the same page, the prop is a Mercury Tempest Plus 25P. I was told it is a "'M' meaning 14.5" diameter". It's on my Yamaha now with a Flo Torq hub kit. Is that what you consider a "Yamaha part" being that thrust washer came with that hub for this motor?

I put the T1 on with that thrust washer on and splines are still showing preventing me from tightening down the nut and cotter pin. I still need a "front spacer". Does that sound correct? Thanks

The tempest plus is not an "M" prop... Anyway, you need a different thrust washer. The thrust washer for the merc props will not mate to the yamaha prop.

Also, the power tech thrust washers are for power tech props. What Mike is saying is that each brand of prop takes their brand of thrust washer.

I'd suggest looking around for a used one. Considering their just a hunk of metal, they're not cheap when new. On the link for parts on line, they (Yamaha) want $115 for one.

I think this might be an aftermarket option... Yamaha Thrust Washer 6E5-45987-01-00 , 63P-45987-00-00

    But make sure.
