    150 Johnson--Carbon Guard?

    Should I be running Carbon guard in my 150 Carbed Johnson. Engine new last year . I use XD-50 oil. Plan to decarb this fall.

    Yes, unless you pop for the XD-100 oil you should still use Carbon Guard per the instructions on the bottle. Personally I've switched to the XD-100 oil because I don't want to have to decarb or use the Carbon Guard so its worth the extra money. Keep in mind I only know what I've read here but the new 100 oil is backwards compatible with the older 50 series oil so making the switch is no big deal. Happy Easter!
