Best place to do it is call Tom at Bullet and get a skid plate for the bottom of your jackplate. Mount the transdeucer to the bottom of the skid plate, run your wire through the middle of the jackplate and through your steering cable hole. That way, you don't have to drill holes in the transom. The side/down scan transdeucer only works between 2 and 6 mph anyway, so it's clear and out of the water when running wide open and you don't have to worry about it causing blow outs on the LU.
