    "SHO" first experience

I had a chance to ride in my brother's Skeeter ZX200 with a SHO 200 this past weekend. All I can say is wow! I'm no expert and everything on the boat and motor is stock. We never got it to WOT but did come close. What impressed me the most was how you could be doing say 40 and with just a little throttle it would just seem to jump and be doing 50 very quickly. I couldn't believe the power it seems to have between 4000 and 5000 rpm. And so quiet you can talk while doing 50 yet it seems to have a very cool sound almost like an inboard moter. If you get a chance to see how these motors perform do it you will be impressed! Also, a plug for the new Skeeter. We were on Lake Barkley with a lot of boat traffic and the Skeeter was a very smooth and dry ride as well. I just hope Yamaha comes out with a 150 model so when I'm ready to upgrade to a new boat I will have a chance to get one of these motors.

He's got the same setup I have. You both are going to love it. I haven't cracked 70 yet but I can get close and I'm still working on my break in.

The SHO is a very sweet motor. IMO there is really no motor on the market right now that competes with it.

Yes, both the boat and motor are really nice. He had a Skeeter SX190 before and upgraded to the ZX200. He's still breaking in as well, I think around 8 hours now. I wanna say he has gotten it to 67mph. He's not really looking for top end speed so much so I think that is plenty fast for the both of us. The midrange power was what impressed me and the sound it made. So far no "making oil" issues either. I plan on buying a new boat sometime next year but it will only have a 150 due to the size limit on the boat I can buy (must fit in garage) so I hope Yamaha has a SHO 150 buy then. If not I will just go with the F150 motor.

I have 22 hours on mine and love it..No problems..

I can hit 68 easily at 5700 rpms..I am sure there is more speed there if I tweeked the jack plate a bit and played with some props but the motor is not having to work hard and at 68 you can run with the majority of boat
