Mine is not working now. I replaced the plastic ring with the metal one @ 6 months ago and was working great. It is now stuk on tilt full up. Loosened and moved around and it did not move. Yes, I had the key turn on.
Any Suggestions?

Looks like its time for a new gauge
I think you are right. Any one know where to get a replacement like this one. It is not a Yamah Trim Gauge. It is an aftermarket one. Goes left to right. Came from the factory.
Any ideas?

Check the resistance on the sender itself, you may have a bad sender.
2004 manual says resistance should be :
Pink - Black
238.8-378.8 ohms @ 68 deg. F.

Okay, replaced trim gauge and that did not fix it. So it must be the trim sender.
Is this easy to replace? Anyone done this?

It is the trim sender that is bad.
Did the ohms test and not good. Need to get a replacement now.
