Kyle, my brother in law is coming in from Brazil monday. Where can I take him to catch a few reds or specks?
The specks are at the beach, but you can find a few under birds in Lake Pelto. For the beach and structure, if you don't bring live bait, you may not get bit. The only report I got on reds was on the north bank of Lake Boudreaux. We went to Bayou Loutre (behind Jug lake, old Turtle bayou) about 3 weeks ago and did good on reds in the cuts and ponds. I know a few people going this weekend...if I hear a good report, I'll pass it on.
Thanks Kyle. I haven't been to Lake Pelto or Last Isle in about 20 years. Old Turtle bayou sounds good. Been fishing there since I was a kid. Killed my first duck at the old Camp 6 at the end of Turtle Bayou. But that was probably before your time.
