Wax Lake / Wax Lake Outlet?

Im going to be taking a friend fishing this weekend and was going to go into the bayou black area. However, I keep hearing I should go towards wax lake or the wax lake outlet. Anyone have feedback about that? I located it on a map but it is new water for me.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

watch where you run in the main bayous in the Belle Isle area. The sand bars are as hard as a concrete slab. I hear the water is a good stained color in most of the dead-end canals. Be careful, take it easy and don't get stuck high and dry.

Pistol is right, be very careful, it is easy to end up high and dry.

I always heard never go without someone who has been there before. But if you like me people that has been don't want to take you and show you their spots.

If you go with a map in hand i can promise you will get stuck.I know that area very well and i would not send anyone down there in the blind like that. That place changes just about every year and with the storms we have had its getting worse so like the other guys said if you must go take someone that knows it well.

Randall get you a map and go learn the wax in that express! You could win your tx from there! Just call me When you get stuck so i can call the coast gaurd to come get the lil red express! I go to the wax about twice a year whenever my partner wants to take his bug boat. I was born at night just not last night!
