I've been looking and not ready to buy yet, but, How good does the new side imaging work in the muddy waters down here. I would be looking for the best thing I can get to see the botttom. Just looking for some opinions here and I probably won't buy anything for a while but I want to know what I'm looking for. Maybe side imaging isn't best???

From what I've seen and read, SI is the greatest invention since the feminine napkin! Since it's sonar, muddy water doesn't effect it. I've also seen images with water as shallow as 10'. If I could afford it, I'd have one on my boat.

They are nice, just a little too pricey for me for the side imagining, but I will say this Jeff, whatever you buy, go ahead and spend the little extra money and get color units.

I have an SI on my boat and it sucks . Dont waste your time and money. . Seriously its the bomb! I love it.

Its funny I haven't learned how to fully use the Lowrance unit I have now and I would like the SI unit

Thanks everybody for the info. I guess I'll keep looking for a while. I think I'm gonna have to sell one of my boats for it though. I guess it's time to get rid of something.

After doing some research, I'll probably be letting Rothwell Marine put one on the Bullet. SI is bad to the bone, from what I see.

Alan it's just like training them, you gotta do it when their a puppy. If you would have done it then You could have been riding around in the boat of your choice with a Yammi on the back.
